{"id":287,"date":"2011-10-26T13:07:54","date_gmt":"2011-10-26T20:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.innovapain.com\/borg\/?p=287"},"modified":"2011-10-26T13:07:54","modified_gmt":"2011-10-26T20:07:54","slug":"heal-escape-and-latin1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.innovapain.com\/borg\/2011\/10\/26\/heal-escape-and-latin1\/","title":{"rendered":"Heal, =Escape, and LATIN1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Borg was wearing a Ring of Escaping and the fear curse was really messing up his ability to flow.\u00a0 There is now a greater negative value associated with wearing a Ring of Escaping.<\/p>\n<p>A bit of a rework on borg_heal().\u00a0 He was not healing as often as he should have.<\/p>\n<p>In borg_danger(), two improvements were added: one for full_damage, and a better estimation of Monster&#8217;s chance to hit, based on AC protection.<\/p>\n<p>Updated the % hit chance for Borg vs Monster as well.<\/p>\n<p>Fix for the LATIN1 names.\u00a0 The borg was having trouble relating messages to known monsters.\u00a0 Sometimes the message bar would read &#8220;Angamaite hits you.&#8221;\u00a0 Yet the borg did not know of a monster by that exact name.\u00a0 The monster&#8217;s real name is Angamait[&#8220;e].\u00a0 So I had to build a converter into the message parser.<\/p>\n<p>I have not yet seen any trouble with parsing and comparing artifact names that contain special characters (Bastard Sword of Eowyn).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Borg was wearing a Ring of Escaping and the fear curse was really messing up his ability to flow.\u00a0 There is now a greater negative value associated with wearing a Ring of Escaping.
